if accessible.... look at the centre rail paper punchings - sometimes used German or English newspapers.

I doubt if many people know what centre rail punchings are. Over here, it's a balance rail.

Without pictures, we can't tell you anything about this piano by that name.

Ir was very german looking inside - brass-covered wrest plank, for instance. Didn't have time to look under the keys, although I did have the end one out on the offchance that there might be a date on it...but there wasn't! I judged it to be about 1920s, but my interest was piqued by the german piano with an English name. Wondered if Mr Wade was the 20s equivalent of Mr Reid (of Reid Sohn fame).

Sorry Gill, I thought you were answering the enquiry rather than instigating it. I don't think I have ever tuned one of these, but I will have a look at my low-tech card index in case.
