L.Bennon piano maker

Hi,
I've found an ancient piano in my mother's birth home.
I would like to know some news about the piano maker and where the piano comin'from, because I would like to restore it.
Please help me in this hard research.

I am the same person you emailed yesterday about this. Without photos of the whole piano it is impossible to know what kind of instrument we are talking about. As far as the maker is concerned, I can find no reference to L. Bennon yet. The name label refers to gold medals 1844-9 and the dates suggest that these were from Paris Expositions, as described at

However, Bennon does not appear to be listed in either exhibition. BEUNON received a bronze medal in 1849, but not gold...

He is presumably the same Beunon who exhibited an upright piano at Philadelphia in 1876. We have no reference to Bennon anywhere. All I can tell you is that the piano was made after the 1849 exhibition. If Bennon was important enough to win gold medals at exhibitions, we would expect to have some record of his work.
