Knauss Piano Age/History

Post by himsworth3821 »

Hi,

I've got a lovely Knauss upright piano and I wonder if anyone could tell me how old it is and something about it's history.

It has two numbers carved into the wood on both sides one of which I assume is a serial number!? The first has a star symbol followed by the number 31935 and the other’s 13987. If anyone has any information I’d really enjoy hearing from you.

Thanks very much,

Jill B

The published numbers for Knauss would suggest that it might be from around 1918, but without photos I can't say if this is likely. Could you post photos of the whole piano here, or email them to me to post?

It is not possibe to trace the history of individual Knauss pianos, but have a look at
