Antique Piano

Post by Jacob »

Hi there,

I've got myself a quiet old piano, manufactured around 1900's. Im planning to sellnit and im quiet curious about its price. Have you by any chance ever heard of a brand "Watson&Watson"? The piano looks like so, its veeery old.

We cannot give prices or valuations here - as per the notice in the blue box above.
You will need to make an appointment with a piano tuner/shop who may be able to value it for you - they will need to tune part of it, and further more inspect its internal condition of the mechanism/ strings and general condition of the cabinet.

Regrettably, pianos like this with many scratches etc do not sell for much, and they are worth very little unless restored fully.

Also have a look at Ebay to get some starting prices.... in most cases, many pianos like this start at around £10 - no reserve/ buyer collects. The front panel may also be worth more than the whole piano! -- but that wont decieve a piano tuner's inspection.

Hope that helps......
