Help identifying piano please
Hello
This is my first post here.
I've just bought a secondhand piano and would like to know more about it.
It has the word KEMBLE stencilled across it (very poorly I might add) but the serial number inside is K70823 which suggests it is a Kemble circa 1940. The action is a Herrberger Brooks of London.
I will try and upload some pics later.
If anyone can tell me who made this piano and roughly when I'd be very grateful!
Thanks
Tim

Tim:
Seems to be a case of you already knowing pretty much all there is to know from the information you supplied.
Made by Kemble in 1948.

Yeh.... Kemble need no introduction.
The 'action' would be supplied to Kemble by Brooks (they probably made the keyboard aswell) -
Kemble were then taken over by Yamaha - but regrettably they closed their factory gates recently - that is Kemble, not Yamaha. Still a good name though, depending on the condition of the piano.
