Bansall & Sons Piano
Post by lakesidegirl619 »
We just purchased a piano at an estate sale. It is an upright piano, with a beautiful floral inlaid wood design on it. The name when you open the lid to the keyboard says Bansall & Sons, England. The ad for the piano said the serial number is 21378, London, England. and a paper tacked inside says it was tuned in Dennistoun, Scotland near Glasgow. Do you have any information on this piano, such as age, etc. Thanks

The number suggests that it was made around 1894, but there should be a date on a label under the keys of the bottom notes, and I would be interested to know what that date is. Pianos often have several numbers inside, and without photos, it is impossible to know if 1894 is likely.
