The 1914 Music Trade Directory lists T. & G. Payne Limited, Pianoforte makers, 28 to 34 Fortress Road NW; Factory 81 (Fortress Grove) Kentish Town. - Piano Makers. Tel 328 NORth.
Strangely, at some point after 1914, "T. & G. Payne" became shortened to "T.G. Payne". We don't know if T. Payne is the same one, Tom G. Payne, but the name was not used as early as 1875, and no dates of serial numbers are available.
