Clifford piano

Post by petersu »

I have just been offered a CLIFFORD piano but don't know anything else about it. Here is a photo Image
Can anyone shed any light on this piano? I am in the UK btw.

Thanks,

Peter

All I can tell you so far is that the name Clifford was available in modern times as a cheap name transfer to be put onto any piano that lost its name during repolishing. See

Clifford piano maybe McKenzie?

Post by petersu »

Right, no that I have actually got the piano I hada little look. The frame has the name H. McKenzie on it and the number 24205. The first key shows 6.4.16 A.J. Moore.

Any more ideas about the history now?

No help at the moment, except that the key marking almost certainly means it was made in 1916.
