Kemble K121ZT & K124 Cons or Yamaha U1 & PX124NT
Hi,
I am shopping for a new piano and there are four pianos that I am very interested in, they are the Kemble K121ZT and K124 Conservatoire as well as the Yamaha U1 and PX124NT. I need some advice and opinions from those who ever played before or owns any of the pianos I mentioned above. Which is the one will be a better choice for a demanding player?
Thanks
pierre

For me its between K124 Conservatoire and the U1 the Conservatoire for looks and tone, they both have the same feel

Practically nobody owns a PX124NT yet do they? they're just out of the box!
All you mention are great pianos. The PX124NT and Conservatoire are identical, and prettier than the U1. All three sound and play better than the P121 owing to their rigidity, thickness of materials and designs of the cabinets. Additionally the extra cabinet volume of the 124 and Conservatoire help even more in this respect. The Kemble K121 is somewhere in between.
The U1 (not the UK built U1N) is a better bet than the P121 unless you're on a budget. British built Yamahas, whilst good, lag behind their Japanese counterparts, although the exceptions appear to be the Conservatoire and PX124NT which are built like a BMW.
Order then:
1=) PX124NT / Conservatoire twins
3 ) Japan built U1
4=) Kemble K121 / UK built U1N
6 ) Yam P121N
It's up to you on whether you buy a Kemble or Yam badged item, but you'll no doubt find some internet-driven fool of a Yamaha dealer stupid enough to erode the entire industry's profit away in your favour with a silly discount price (at the inevitable cost of preparation) thus making the Kemble version appear more expensive.
Controversially,
