Japan Yamaha U1 or Kemble K124 Conservatoire
Hi,
As mentioned in the website that the Kemble K124 conservatoire and Yamaha U1 are using the same iron frame, scales design and piano actions. Will there be any great difference in tonality if the Kemble 124 is using a much better materials such as the German spruce from Bavaria, roulau string and upgraded hammers felt? What is the key length of Yamaha U1 as compare to the K124? Which is the one will be more fun to play and value of money?
Thanks
Best regards
Pierre

A big difference in sound the big factors in a pianos sound are the felt used on the hammers the strings and the wood used on the soundboard the other factor is scaling However, you can used the best materials the pianos can be designed by the best but if the workforce is clueless then the piano is not so goodpierre wrote:Hi,

The Kemble workforce are very good and have taken a lot of trouble over small details on the conservatoire piano not only on the case witch is more elegant than the U1 but the tone is overall sweeter both piano are discounted the U1 comes in at discounted price 3,849 and the conservatoire is discounted at 3,736 in my mind the conservatoire is the better buy not because of price I believe it is a better piano all round
I would go to a shop that stocks them both and do a side by side comparison because what I like and what you like may not be the same thing
