Schaefer Piano - to buy or not to buy

Post by Nicola Bourke »

Hello

I am trying to buy a piano. While at school (15 years ago!) I did play to quite a high level but have not played since. Having advertised locally, I have found a vendor who is selling a Schaefer piano that she bought new about a year ago. I have done quite a bit of research but cannot find anything on this make. Does anyone know anything? I have yet to see it, going tomorrow evening, but am a bit concerned at lack of information available. Any replies would be much appreciated.
Thanks.

There are a few makes that go under that name most in the USA the California one has had their pianos made by Young Chang and if it is one of them and only a few years old it will be a decent piano depending on the price you are paying. However, before parting with any money I would get a tuner to give it the once over
