I have an Erard upright piano serial no 69697. Can anyone tell me its age?

The number suggests 1892, but you need to be aware that the published dates of Erard piano numbers are incorrect in the earlier period. Also, they only apply to the ones made in Paris, and the London Erards have a separate sequence. I can help further if you contact me.

Dear Bill, If you can help that would be great. Underneath the keyboard lid there is an inlaid design saying Erard Paris We are near Ludlow.
