Squire & Longson

Post by Bill Kibby »

Cremona was a name used by Squire & Longson and by others. The firm received a bronze medal (prize not price) at the 1885 International Inventions Exhibition, and this would be mentioned on hundreds or thousands of their pianos after that date. No original archives survive for this make. See

I have a feeling that the Squire & Longson Cremona model was designed by Alfred Knight. Could this be correct, Bill?

Cremona

Alfie is a bit too modern for my active research, but the Cremona was shown in 1885, around the time of the Brinsmead Cremona, and I seem to remember that they shared an address.
