Schimmel are not normally discounted only youre in standard Sale.
Importing can save you a lot of cash. However, support can be a problem if you have a problem because you have not got the piano from one of the UK main dealers they will be reluctant to send out one of their tuners fix any problems.
As to the minor alterations to the design I believe where in the scale to fix the bleed through problem you some times got form the Capo bar, all makers make tweak their designs

Well that's probably because they're currently only 25% owned by Yamaha. Just wait until they get 51% controlling share and you'll see prices tumble as all the stupid Yamaha discounters get stock and sell it far too cheap.Barrie Heaton wrote:Schimmel are not normally discounted only youre in standard Sale,
I'm sick to death of everybody wanting discount pianos. Yamaha especially. They're worth list price. If all dealers woke up to that fact and started charging list and preparing the buggers accordingly then everybody in the trade might start earning some well deseved profit.
Schimmels will get cheaper. You heard it here first.
And it's wrong.

Kembles have resisted but they dont have the same discount system in place like Yamaha which encourages the big dealers to discount big time but I dont thing that are that bothered if sales stay as they are
