I think I wrote to you before? This is not the date of the piano, it was a medal awarded to the firm at the exhibition. Press www below, and press some of my buttons!

I was wondering if its worth anything
We have a piano that was given to us for free by an old couple who were moving and said they wanted to get rid of it. They had mentioned that it was over 100 years old. I didn't think much of it until I looked on this site and saw the entree that said something about a Crane and Sons Ltd. that was made in Liverpool for Queen Victoria. I was wondering if the one that I own is the same one. The exact labeling on it says: Crane and Sons. Ltd. Manchester and Liverpool Head Office:-Liverpool. It is not in that great of playing condition and a couple of keys on it are chipped. I was just wondering if anyone knew of its worth. I would greatly appreciate it.

It wasn't made for the Queen, it simply mentions an exhibition at which Crane won a medal. The exhibition was opened by the Queen, who had no connection with the piano. See
