I just got this full-size upright piano. It says Gabler, New York on the mechanics/parts. It has a light grayish/white vinyl-like wrap which seems to be from the factory. I took off the vinyl wrap and some of the wood is kind of ugly (obviously they were'nt concerned about the wood since it was wrapped). Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I'm sorry, this is a UK site, we have no information except dates of their serial numbers. I'm a bit confused about this "wrap": If it peels off like the protective wrapping on some new goods, surely it still needs to look good underneath, isn't that the whole point of protecting it? Is it a new piano? If so, ask your retailer.
