Brasch & Co.
G'day, Just a quick question as to wether anyone knows anything about a piano i have here. The badging states "Arion manufactured for Brasch & Co."
It is a large upright that i beleive is over 100 years old and has an over damper system. I am trying to find out how rare or common it is. Any info would be interesting.

Arion piano made for Brasch
Post by Bill Kibby »
The only Arion I know of is the Arion Piano Co., New York, and I doubt if they ever used overdampers. Any idea where Brasch was located? I try to avoid the word "rare", there is normally very little value in an antique piano by a little-known firm, unless it is special in some other way.

Unsure
I am unsure where Brasch & Co are from. Under the far left key, actually written on the key is the name 'M Brasch' and an address 'Elizabeth Street, Melbourne' thats Victoria Australia just to finish it of for you.
Under the most right black key is a date of 9.8.89 i believe it is day.month.year. I also have a serial no that is stamped into the peg plate of 16694. I dont know if any of this helps and i dont mind if you say you cannot help. I am just curious as to where this piano is from.
