W. G. Eavestaff & Sons
I have a W. G. Eavestaff & Sons piano. It has serial number 17384 stamped just inside the top lid and behind the keyboard. It does not have any other numbers or names on it anywhere. I would like to hear from anyone who may be able to tell me more about this piano. Does anyone have any ideas on how to narrow the date down? Thanks. Renato, Firenze, Italia.

Thanks for your enquiry from the beautiful city of Firenze, (Florence to us) where the piano was invented. The published numbers for Eavestaff do not help, and my best estimate based purely on the number is about 1906. See
