John Brinsmead & Sons
Hi, I'm a new member, from Chile and I have a JOHN BRINSMEAD & SONS PIANO. the serial is 40866 (I think..) and I want to know of what year is this piano.. sorry but i know a bit of english.. thank you.

Your english is better than some of the english-speaking people! The published dates of Brinsmead numbers are not very accurate, but it may be around 1894. Are there any pictures of medals, with years written on them?

Could you tell me what the years are? It would help me to work out how old it is.

The number suggests that it was made in about 1894. The medals show that it was made after the 1884 exhibition, but it doesn't seem to show the medals they won in 1885, so would probably not be much after that date.
