Minipiano Evestaff Pianette
I recentlly aquired a "Minipiano" Evestaff Pianette by Harman, Peck & Co. On the front has two small crowns and the words "As used by H.R.H Princess Ingrid of Sweden and by Princess Elizabeth and Princess Margaret Rose of York" under each respectivelly. Anyone knows what this means? Is this a special edition piano?

I wouldn't agree with Barrie that "most" UK makers had a royal warrant, they were much more special than that, but when they obtained one, they shouted the information from the rooftops! Please, PLEASE let's get this "Special Limited Edition" idea out of the way. The Eavestaff Minipiano was sold in great numbers in the USA, through Hardman Peck. I can supply booklets on Eavestaff, and on Royal Warrants, through the PianoGen website...

Gill Green tells me that a german maker also produced small upright pianos with tuning under the keyboard. Can anyone shed any further light on these?

I am trying to get some correlation between the number under the keyboard, inside the tuning flap, and the one inside the back, on the soundboard. Can you tell me both?
