Broadsworth?

Post by looking »

I am looking for any information on my Broadsworth, London upright piano. It has 1865 on the key and 3365 inside of front. It has A.L. Copeland, Bury New Road, Manchester on the inside. It has a direct blow and overdamper action with a celeste mechanism. I am also looking for a good book on uk piano construction and tuning. I prefer my piano be restored to its origonal english heritage and not the whims of western music. I need all the help I can get. thanks, looking

From where I'm sitting, England is western! Would you like to check the spelling of the name? Tuning is tuning, the nationality shouldn't matter. Unfortunately, the states have bigger budgets for publishing books, and many of the younger technicians over here have been brought up on american terminology.
