Ant. Petrof. piano - date of manufacture?

Post by R_David »

Hello everyone -

I wonder if you could help to provide a date of manufacture for a friend's piano. I've done some very cursory research relating to the manufacturer Ant. Petrof., but not been able to get a sense of when, more precisely, this particular piano was made. I myself would guess early twentieth century - my friend suggests an earlier date, in the nineteenth century. Would it be possible for anyone here to suggest a date to within a decade or two? Have a look at the photos below, and see what you think. Thank you very much in advance.

See, if you can find the serial number, Anton Petroff died in 1915, so I would say it's pre-1915. also, going off, it's a liar with big round legs.

Thanks Barrie. I'll have a closer searcher for a serial number.
