Inherited Rönisch piano
Post by Ronisch32538 »
I have just inherited an old vertical piano, brand Rönisch and serial number 32538.
I would be grateful if someone can tell me anything about it’s history. Thanks in advance.

The company was established in 1845 in Dresden
Serial number 32538 c 1902 ish 30000 = 1900 and 39000 = 1905

Thank you bet much.
I would appreciate any additional info: estimated value, history, different models produced at that time …

Ronisch are (were) a well respected German make and there seems to be plenty of information on the net. As an inherited piece your piano is likely to have more value to yourself than anyone else. In general old unrestored pianos are worth next to nothing although cannot comment specifically on your piano.

It must be true is more valuable for me, since I rejected an offer.
By the way, the offer came From a well reputed local piano tuner, who I asked to tune it once Inherited and in a first offer he mentioned €10.000. I supposed that implies its value is higher.
In any case I won’t sell it. My mum my daughters and myself have played it since kids

If a tuner offered you that much money for a 1905 un-reconditioned piano I would take his money and run for the hills.
1905 un reconditioned Steinway uprights don't even get that sort of cash
