Erard Upright Piano

Post by gbongers »

Hi there,

I've recently been given an old Erard Paris upright piano, serial number #70248.

Although I don't understand anything about pianos, I want to learn to play with my 6-year old (I think it will be a great activity for us to do together) and I thought an old instrument would be better than a new one - given that it has a story to inspire us to care for and cherish it for many more years to come.

With this in mind, I wonder if the members of this forum could point me in the right direction to find out a bit more about my instrument.

Thank you in advance.

With kind regards,

Gus
