Table for a J.B. Cramer & Co Ship Piano

Post by f1999308 »

Hello,

I have recently come to own an old J.B.Cramer & Co. ship piano. Just the top without legs. I would like to get a custom table with legs on which this ship piano can sit. I'm curious if anyone else has had a ship piano that they have set on a table and how it looks.

The piano looks a lot like this.

Interesting never seen one that sits on the table how do the pedals work if there are any.

I've got one too. It says Cramer Portable Piano on it. Does yours too (can't tell from the photo). You got it at an excellent price. I love mine. I had Renner make some custom hammers for it a few years ago. It's an overstrung overdamper and sounds remarkable for its size.
Mine has a stand which I was made by the previous owners grandfather it's like a box without top or bottom and matches very well. I've been meaning to add pedals for years. I'll get round to it one day...

Yes, mine does say, "Cramer Portable Piano" on it. How much do you think these weigh? I am guessing at less than 200 pounds.
