A piano!

Hello everyone, I have a small piano, I think it is a mini due to it's size. It is marked Karl Lange but I understand this is probably not the manufacturer. It is time for us to pass it on but I am just trying to find out a little more about it's origins first. I've tried to read up on it and nite that the panel at the front is removable! I would be interested in hearing anything that is known about this type of piano. Thank you for reading this essay! Rose

explains that "Karl Lange" is one of a number of fake names used on pianos sold by W.H.Barnes in London. "Minipiano" is a specific Eavestaff model, there is no general definition.
Is there any chance you could post photos here?

Hello Bill, thank you for posting. I found your names page interesting and had never realised about piano's having fake names. Ours didn't quite match any of the images I managed to find online but I did read about a "metal strip detail".

Looks very similar to the Marshall in a post I just answered. Based on the thirties Minipiano design, probably after 1934.
