Spencer piano

Post by Angielene »

Hi. Does anyone know how I can find out more information about a piano I just received from a co worker. It is a John spencer & co piano. I have been told it is a classic piano. The numbers I found on the inside are 2a and under those numbers are 8571. I have tried googling this information and have not been able to find anything. The previous owner thinks it may be from the 1930s.

Much appreciated

If you have a look at the other Spencer enquiry I think that will answer your question. They normally have the model number and serial number, found quite easily by opening the top. They were established in 1883, and used about two thousand numbers per year, suggesting that #8571 is 1883. Have a look at my Victorian page

Are you able to post photos here to show us what the whole piano looks like?
