The number suggests that it was made in 1902, but this doesn't tell us anything about its type or specification, as no archive material has survived. I can quote for printing historical information on the long history of the firm, or compile a report based on photos. See

Where abouts on the piano did you find the serial number???

On modern Challens, they are on the soundboard below keyboard level, and also on the back, near the top. Otherwise, it's variable: Often, you can open the top and it will be there. The keys are usually dated, see
