People usually don't give feedback

Post by chrisw »

Just a bit of a moan I'm afraid. I read a small number of forums and have seen lots of effort being put in by the forum members to answer questions posed by a poster, only for the original poster not to give any feedback or even thanks for those efforts. It just makes me wonder why people bother to respond to the questions in the first place. So easy to ask a question of people who want to help and then just take the results. I get so annoyed with a lack of common courtesy.

its the young ones, quite often they post to other media if they don't get a response instantly like on Facebook then they ignore it as it has been answered somewhere else.... They are just Rude in my mind, but in there world its the norm as they are not used to face to face world so they real world rules don't apply like manners

I am not a user of so called social media software so I don't know what its capabilities are. I certainly am not impressed with the manner in which these software houses manage themselves or their customers.

A few months ago on another forum a person doing some sort of music course asked for information to complete an assignment and was given lots of suggestions. There was no indiction that the original poster had even read the replies. I ended up deleting my contribution.

It is a different world. Some people get hundreds of electronic messages a day. At that rate you only rap with what is before you at a given point.... in the same way that you don’t randomly revisit a conversation you had last week.

I have experienced the world of receiving many tens of email messages a day...not much fun...but that was when I was working. Now receive too many advertisements from people like Screwfit and Wickes ! Probably I should unsubscribe.

Nice of Barrie to suggest there may a modicum of expertise in my posts, I tend to think my understanding of things only just touches the surface.
