Post by Gill the Piano »
Hello Bill, any idea of the age of this piano serial no 33537 please? Looks about 1910ish to me ... Ta!
I play for my own amazement...

That's very strange, the version that was displayed just now seemed to stop in mid-sentence, and had no number. Beringer & Strohmenger were a London firm from the 1880s at least up to the 1914 war, with no known connection to the other Strohmenger, but apparently following on after them.
As far as I am aware, no dates are available for their numbers. Does it have a german action, perhaps Lexow? Check the rear for the action makers' name and number. I could make an educated guess from photos that show the whole piano.
