It's actually 'favourite sight'. When the song came out I just took it for what it sounded like, fevicide, baby side, it just made a catchy jazzy little song which Haircut 100 did with aplomb. I couldn't quite catch the lyrics on any of the songs on that album, which I had ('Pelican West')

Had a 'hymn' today called 'All I Once Held Dear' - modern thing. Well, if the second half of it isn't a very close relation to 'The Ugly Duckling', I'll eat my hat. I was well behaved and didn't launch into 'With a quack, with a quack, with a waddle and a quack...' but it took a lot of self control.
I play for my own amazement...

One more to thank the instore radio station at work for: Kelly Rowland. No matter what I do, all I think about is you, even waiting with my poo.

Digging out my Christmas CDs, Bing, Bublé (that belongs to my wife, I prefer humans to robots), the reggae, the Albion Band, Ex Cathedra, Leroy Anderson, and my own Christmas mix that begins in medieval England and ends in a hood in Queens, NY.

We had Walk Like an Egyptian in work this week. If you wanna fight all the cocks, they're hanging round in the corner shop.
I always thought (the ancient bloodsport of) cock fighting was more British than Egyptian but heigh-ho.
Then again, it may not refer to bloodsports at all, nudge nudge.

On the in-store radio station at work (yawn yawn), they play a reworked version of an Elvis Presley song entitled 'I've Got A Thing 'Bout You Baby' with a jazzed up audio recorded by the RPO and featured on an album very conveniently released in time for the Christmas market last year (a stocking filler for grandma?)
It sounds like Ive Got A Big Bouncing Baby......and I've been googling it and googling it with no luck under that search term and Elvis......Until I put in the next line of the song.....and then I came up donalds with the answer. I really did think it might have been a professional Elvis impersonator that recorded it given that I had no luck....

I like to know the origins of the audiophonic artworks we have to swallow in our jobs....

Portishead - Only You....who can tell me apart. I always thought it was tear. It sounds like tear.

As a child my mother in law thought it was:
"Row, row, row your boat, Jesse down the stream"
and although it's not a lyric, she also thought it was:
"Our Father, who art in Heaven,
Harold be thy name...." BRILLIANT

I always envisaged 'jelly choirs' in 'Hark The Herald Angels Sing'. I was quite disappointed when I learned to read and found the real words...

I can't help thinking the lyrics are 'I can see clearly now Lorraine has gone'.
