Buying a second hand Knight K10
Hello everybody,
I am in a quandry about buying a second hand Knight K10 (made in 1978).
I would say I am an average pianist (played up to Grade 8 but haven't touched a piano in 8 years).
The piano, upon inspection, looks pretty good on the outside and on the inside (there was a bit of wear on the felt but no major damage), and I like the touch and sound of it (compared to my previous piano, a Weinbach). I guess this is all quite superficial as I have a limited knowledge on the technical aspect of pianos. The owner mentioned that the piano hasn't been tuned for about 4-5 years.
Judging from the internet, I noticed that Knight K10's range in prices (from £700 - £2000+) and the asking price for the one that I have seen is £1500.
Here are my questions:
1) Why is there such a range for Knight K10s? Is it because of when it is manufactured? If so, what year should I be looking out for?
2) Is £1500 too much - I don't want to be spending more than it is worth.
I would really appreciate any advice that I can get - thanks in advance!

One cannot begin to give any sort of guide price for a piano without personally having inspected it. We are often asked for a "ball park figure" but the same answer still obtains.
