Unfortunately, no original archives are available. The published numbers certainly may suggest that date if it is a Paris (rather than London) Erard, but these numbers are sometimes way off. Do you have any evidence of the date? See

If it's a London Erard it should be more like 1880.

I saw the piano last week at the auction, but there was no sign of any reference or evidence about it being at the 1844 exhibition, and I did not realise it was the same one. It may be dated on the lever of the bottom note. What sort of documentation do you have?
