Broadwood square PIANO
All - I am looking for a set of dampers for Broadwood square piano circa 1840. Also some original correct size strings - to complete a restoration. Any info will be gratefully received

Stainless steel has similar properties to the old strings if it id the sound you are after as to the dampers un less you have a scraper you will have to make them there are companies who will make set of parts to pattern see piano parts link in the quick links to the left.

Lucy Coad repairs and restores square pianos (don't have contact details, but she pops up if you Google for her!) so would probably be able to help. She's based near Bath. Don't mention stainless steel to her, though, or she might need counselling!
