Hermann

Post by Bill Kibby »

Hermann was established in Sangerhausen, Germany in 1835, but they have never been very well-known here, I don't know about Australia. The inscription is more likely to refer to some previous event, such as an exhibition medal, rather than the date of the piano, and 1899 is not unusually old for a piano. Dates of serial numbers are available, if it's the same firm. There is no particular value in the name, everything depends on your tuner's report. See
