The number you gave is not the serialbumber it needs to be 5 digits long, that one must be a delers stock number

Hopkinson?

Would this be Hopkinson rather than Hopkins? Their serial numbers were around 2,100 in 1865, so it could well be correct if it's old enough. Are any exhibition medals mentioned on there? If so, what are the dates and other details? See http://www.uk-piano.org/piano-gen/reports.html
