EVrard Paris, more info
Hello guys,
I got a piano from a friend and i would like to know something more about it.
Does it have any value and is it worth to repair it?
It says EVrard Paris and on the side Pierard Bruxelles.
I have Some pictures from it and i will try to download them here.

Let's hope this new posting will help you to get responses, but there are still items under the previous Elcke heading. The name Pierard is almost certainly trying to imply Pierre Erard.
Can you decipher the name on the front?

It's a genuine EVrard!
I reckon it's Larry Grayson's friend Everard!
I suppose the obvious question should have been... where in the world is the piano?

Interestingly, if you search Google Images for Evrard piano, there are a number of them there!

Re: EVrard Paris, more info
And just for the hell of it, I've done a search on the most popular national site here, and there are currently 8 Evrard upright pianos listed for sale, straight-strung and cross-strung models. Prices range from 100-700 euros (£75 -£525), the straight-strung showing the highest price! Of course it's anyone's guess whether any of these will sell.Bill Kibby wrote:Interestingly, if you search Google Images for Evrard piano, there are a number of them there!
I was playing the piano in a zoo, when the elephant burst into tears. I said, "Don't you recognize the tune?" He replied, "No, I recognize the ivories!"
