Bechstein Info please

I've just been given a Bechstein upright piano.The number on it is 28794 but i cannot find this number in any searches. I would just like to know it's age and any interesting info.

If that is the correct serial number it would suggest 1891. Only Bechsteins can give you archive information about an individual piano just from the number.

If you could send photos to show what the whole piano looks like on the outside, we may be able to tell you more.
