Glue on woodbridge

Post by Ceres ll »

Hi,

I have a 1978 knabe console and would like to know if there is glue on woodbridge. I have read that some have and other don't. Is there any video or tutorial showing how to remove it?

Thanks.

Not sure about the term "woodbridge" ? .... is this an American term?

All bridges on pianos are made from wood, usually maple, so we normally refer it to the "bridge" .... where the strings are guided and steered around bridge pins, creating up & down bearing.

Are you wanting to remove a bridge?
Carefully chisel the bridge away from the soundboard if glued on.... most are glued - look out for screws.
