This must surely be the other way around? Isn't it a Brooklyn piano made for Paterson & Son, Edinburgh? No-one anywhere can trace the life history of every individual piano, so your only hope is shipping records. Parts of the scottish firm wewre known as Paterson and Son from at least 1851 to 1900, and perhaps later, I'll see what I can find out. The name doesn't help us date the piano, but Paterson sold some Brooklyn pianos around 1910. See
