D'Almaine/Bentley link?
Post by Gill the Piano »
Were D'Almaine & Bentley linked at all? I only ask because I tuned a D'Almaine today and the writing on the end key (1939) was EXACTLY the same as the writing in Bentleys of a comparable age. Just curious! Thanks, Bill.
I play for my own amazement...

They were linked in the sense that by the thirties, Bentleys were putting the D'Almaine name onto some of their pianos.
There are a few examples near the bottom of my Numbers page.
