That number suggests that it was made around 1874, but dating pianos purely on the basis of numbers is not always reliable. If it is correct, it would be a Cottage Piano, as described at

Brinsmead seems to have been the first to use the term "Upright Iron Grand" around the 1870s.
Would you be able to post photos of the piano here?
Especially the WHOLE piano?
