We just bought a beautiful upright burled wood j. j. hopkinson piano for $200 dollars in a yard sale. Can anyone provide information, value, history and possible age of this piano?

thanks!!

No-one anywhere will give you a valuation without on-the-spot inspection, and no original archives survive, but I can quote for printing historical information about the firm, or compile a report based on photos. See
http://www.uk-piano.org/piano-gen/datem ... ianos.html

and also the Reports page there.

If we send photos could that help? We have not been able to locate a date yet. There seams to be two hooks on the front that maybe held candles or something. There are three broken hammers ( but we found them in the bottom) So, we have all the peices and the piano is very beautiful. I have not been able to find much information other than it came from London.
