Old J & J Hopkinson Piano
I have a J & J Hopkinson Piano in the family and am interested to learn some more about it. My gran bought it in an auction nearly 50 years ago ands it been played by generations ever since. It isn’t in brilliant condition and some keys do not work.
I do not know anything about pianos unfortunately but have managed to find a serial number for it - AS 6967. It is an upright piano with ivory keys and has two candleholders on the front as well as a music sheet holder under the lid.
I am keen to know if it would be worth investing in having this piano fixed up or if it is time for it to retire, if anybody can help me with some more information? Thanks

A number like that, preceded by letsr, is almost certainly a dealer's stock number, and doesn't help. I can quote for printing historical information about the firm, but without photos, I can't begin to guess what we're talking about, and valuation depends on your tuner's report. Where are you?
