Comparison of Baldwin and Steinway
Hi,
How does a Baldwin 7' (Model SF10 Artist Grand) compare to a Steinway B-211? I noticed that the Steinway price is much higher. I am no expert but I played on a Steinway B and what I particulary noticed was its tonal range and response. I have not had the opportunity to play on the above mentioned Baldwin, though, in the future I hope to do so.

We don’t get many Baldwin Grands in the UK their uprights are poor well the ones I have seen have been. However, quite a few tuners in the US tell me that the Grands are far better than their uprights but I don’t think they are in the same league as a Steinway if it was me I would buy the Steinway if it is second-hand I would get a tuner to give it the once over
