All pianos have blocks at the ends of the keyboard. Overstrung pianos have a larger block at the bass end. "Upright Grand" is a meaningless term used on some terrible instruments, as well as some very good ones. If you open the top and find numbers easily visible, these may help us to confirm the date. A 1903 upright is not usually a valuable antique, but no-one can tell you what it is worth without on-the-spot inspection, and I'm at the opposite edge of Britain - Lowestoft.
