Kemble Minx

I have inherited a Kemble Minx miniature piano Serial No 131062. Can you tell me a bit more about it Thanks

The number suggests that it was made in 1967. If you type kemble minx in Google Images you can see quite a few variations on this model.

A very popular model, they have been around since the thirties, and I remember playing one in a pub on the day of the piano's 70th birthday, it was still going strong. They can be difficult to work on for some repairs, having all their innards squeezed into a small space. The wrestplank (pinblock) is also very small in height, so the tuning pins are quite close together. They are usually dated under the bottom keys, as described at

Thanks, Bill. from the serial number, would you know what wood it is made from? I have looked at the Google photos but there's not one quite like mine, which has detachable, screw-in, tapered legs at the front.

Soirry, I am hopeless at woods, especially without photos. Most of what you see is fake anyway with wood nowadays, it is probably chipboard.
