From 1946, the first 2 digits of the number represent the year, so 58513 is 1958. Other examples of thousand-per-year numbering are at

This is a listing for my amazing Welmar Upright Piano serial 58513 dated 1958.
There has only been two owners as far as I am aware. I purchased this piano about 8 years ago from a piano teacher in her 70s who had had this piano ever since she started teaching. I cannot stress enough how lovely this piano is to play (which is obviously to be expected from a Welmar).
It is purely material marks - the piano is in perfect working condition.

I am confused, are there two people who have the same piano number?
I find the Welmar uprights a pleasure to play, I like the tone and the touch, but some are now starting to suffer loose tuning pins, so keep it well away from heat sources, as described at
