Broadwood Legs

Post by D.J.Smith »

I am renovating a 1920 Broadwood Barless B and need a set of three square tapered legs to suit.

Can any one help? Perhaps one of the dealer or technician members has saved parts from a scrapper?

Listed in Heckscher's 'trade' catalogue (first page) are 2 kind of square grand legs, one having a moulded toe.... but all three legs will be un-polished/ untreated. I dont know if they still carry them in stock (POA on price list) - so perhaps give them a ring.

Thanks Colin.

I've already priced new ones. They would make the job uneconomic. I also want them to be authentic, so prefer genuine period Broadwood legs.

Yeh, see your point.
Only other place you could try is Besbodes in Leeds. They used to have a 'piano scrap yard' on their premises in Beeston, but dont know if they still have it.
If you google them - number should come up.
