Hello!
I have decided to put on my teaching website a 'which piano should I buy', based largely on my own experience, what technicians have told me and of course, information from this site.
I've kept all the information positive - so, if I present a balanced view I'm not going to say anything which rubbishes any of the makes I've mentioned of both digital and acoustic pianos, but if anyone here thinks I've written anything that is mis-informed or offensive, please can you flag it for me and I'll change it if necessary. Thanks.

You have certainly included some interesting information there. Just a few thoughts:-
One thing which caught my eye related to the Casio Privia, with the comment, ‘can be sold on quite easily’. May that not be a little misleading for a novice? Arguably on a newish Yamaha digital your comment could apply due to brand recognition.
Also under the heading of Hybrid Digital Pianos, I note the indicated price from £5000. You may however wish to add the new Yamaha NU1 - which I had the opportunity to try last month. Excellent touch, and imho a very pleasing sound. Believe the price is probably between £3k and 4k.

Some of your readers may not be able to afford the prices you mention for acoustic pianos. I suggest you include a section on pre-owned pianos from dealers and piano technicians who have, or know of, pianos for sale.
There are two dealers within 3 miles of our village in Suffolk. One happens to a leading restorer. Current stock ranges from a George Russell upright at £595 and a little used Knight for £1,750 to a remanufactured Bluthner 6' 3" aliqout grand for £15,500.
Even Bluthner have several reasonably priced pre-owned pianos in London, and there are no doubt even better bargains to be had when you shop around.

Yeah, I know, but I decided to keep it to new pianos to keep it simple. I have linked to a couple of dealers like Chris Venables and Bluthner, who also sell used pianos, and on my links page I have a link to here, so people will be able to find it.
For instance, under Yamaha and Kawai I put a note about used pianos, etc.
The idea is that most people using the website will be students of mine so they can ask me personally if they have any more questions. The site is about my piano teaching service, and I just thought it would be helpful to have a note about instruments.
Perhaps I'll put a note on about used pianos but I don't think I'd put on a whole section.
Incidentally, I went in to a piano shop the other day, where they had a 2003 bechstein upright, model 124. They were asking just over 18k for it, and it felt like its hammers had been re-shaped just one too many times..... I mean, it was extremely mellow in the middle section but it was gone!

I think it's a great idea to have a pianos page but, I suspect, the prices you mention could put off many a potential pupil.
You can't go far wrong with a new piano but you can do equally as well on a restricted budget with a trusted technician and low mileage instrument.
By section I meant a paragraph with a heading.
To be specific, I think it might help to edit and move this para:
*If you own an old piano that is not sounding it's best any more and it is from a reputable maker such as Steinway, Bechstein, Bluthner or Bosendorfer, then perhaps you should consider having it rebuilt rather than buying a new piano. This can represent an extraordinary saving over the cost of a new equivalent and can provide you with an excellent piano. It will not be the same as a new piano, but it may well be worth it. If your budget won't stretch to a full rebuild, then it may be wiser to consider a lower priced new piano. There are other makers considered worth the investment for a rebuild. Please talk to your technician or tuner about the possibilities."
It's perfectly possible to buy a perfectly serviceable piano at all price levels. Many simply require cleaning and regulation to bring them back to their best and a word of support for your local technicians would not go amiss.
The piano specialist in Suffolk I had in mind is Barry Caradine who has one of the best equipped workshops in the country, http://www.caradine.co.uk. Roberta showed me round when I dropped in one day - impressive.
